Take a look below for a summary of what you will find in this blog. Enjoy!
Magic Spoon
A little kitchen with a big heart! Jade wants to share recipes that she loves to make! Yum, yum! Let's bring out the Magic Spoon and whip up something fun! We also share a glimpse of our journey to being organic, not an easy journey but a journey we do as a family that makes us stronger, healthier and happier!
Creative Box
Let's get crafty! Learning to sew is not easy when you are little but there are many alternatives. Jade will share everything with you! From easy sewing projects, to fun lacing, crocheting, stitching, and many other non-sewing crafts that involve creativity and fun!
Lil'Wardrobe
Jade has a little wardrobe but it is full of cute things. Everything in her little wardrobe has Jade all over it, happy, colorful, kawaii (cute in Japanese!) and as Jade and I say with lots of "Amonie Swag!" our translation - "Mama swag!" She likes the clothes that mama gets her but her favorite things are cute bags and shoes. Can you blame her? Come and take a peek!
Jade's Look Book
You will find most of Jade's outfits here. I try to snap a picture of her everyday but it doesn't always happen. Most of the clothes she wears in this look book will be for sale in our OGC (Outgrown Closet) store. I say most because I'm still saving some of my favorite ones for baby Moon. If you make a purchase from our store, we will be forever grateful! Rest assure that you will receive a piece of clothing in magnificent condition, unless otherwise specified on the listing, and best of all, it is from our smoke free and as of today pet free household (Jade really wants a doggy soon). You will see a wide variety of sizes because I have been saving all her clothes through the years. As per her Lil'wardrobe, you will see brands like GAP, Tea Collection, Mini Boden, Mango, Zara, Target and a few others.
OGC - Outgrown Closet
We love, love clothing, shoes and accessories. I think clothes speak of who you are and your can translate your personality through clothing and accessories! I take good care of Jade’s clothes and so does she. I used to give it away until I realized I could sell it and use that money to buy her clothes once she outgrows what she has. Who doesn’t like to save money or recycle it in a way. I usually have to get her some main pieces at the beginning of each season and I think it’s so much fun to shop around for pieces that speak to her personality.
Favorite Places
Playing is number 1 on Jade's list and she will show you just about everything that's in her toy box, her wish list and even the things that entertain her lots that don't necessarily fit in a box! She loves reading too, and here you will discover all her favorite stories from her bookshelf as well as all her favorite movies, shows, adventures and her favorite places around the world!
"Jade and Moon"©
It's the story of two friends that have a beautiful friendship. The characters Jade and Moon, came about the love I have for my little Jade and the wishful joy of thinking about little baby Moon. I hope you and your little ones enjoy each short story, for they come from the heart and a daydreaming mom.
Videos
Technology and electronics are a beautiful thing when our kids engage in more than just the ordinary watching. The curiosity of the making and how it works, is an evolution of creativity, an opportunity now that is taken further into what we may not had when growing up. It's growth, it's a hack and it's a wonderful thing to have! Here you will find a small library of videos that sparked lots of creativity and lots of learning, starting from the making process, to taking action/evolution of project, and production. Enjoy!
Unschooling
I have been teaching Jade since she was a baby. She first learned some sign language when she was only months old and since then I understood what sponge a kid's brain can be. I have been feeding her curiosity and answering all her questions by trying to see the world the way she would as a tiny person. She has made me get so creative with my answers when the only question that comes about is why more than a few times in a row. It is so magical to accomplish goals together when it comes to learning. The most important thing is that we make it fun so her curiosity and interest never fades. Homeschooling has been our thing up until now that she turned 6, and we are now jumping into giving unschooling a try. We will share as much as we can during this process in our unschooling page. I will be unschooling my self in the process so wish me luck!
